Presenter: Mitzi Proffitt,
It is never too early to plan for your child’s future. But the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) mandates that all students who have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) should also have a Transition Plan by age 16 or when they enter high school, which ever comes earlier. So what should be part of your child’s transition plan? And why is such a plan important? On June 23, 2016 join Mitzi Proffitt from Parent to Parent of Georgia for a lunch and learn session from 1pm -2pm as she shares some of the crucial reasons your child needs to have a robust transition plan. She will also walk you through some concrete examples of what can be included in your child’s transition plan.
Running time: 40 minutes and 45 seconds
