confusing. The Roadmap outlines the governmental, medical, educational,
social, and therapeutic services available to families in Georgia. The
Roadmap provides very basic information in an available, family friendly
format to help families find the service they need to meet their family’s

Navigator Teams
The Navigator Teams have been a project of Parent to Parent of
Georgia since September 2008. Their collaborative mission is to strengthen Georgia families, especially
those with children with disabilities, through a statewide
parent-led volunteer network. Their collaborative vision is
to develop a point of
contact in every Georgia County so that parents of young children
and parents of school-aged youth will not feel alone. The
Parent Leadership Coalition (PLC), the original collaborative,
continues to support the Navigator Team Project by providing
resources, advice and access to knowledgeable individuals within
the PLC agencies.
