The Special Needs Database
Parent to Parent's comprehensive resource database containing over 5,000 resources in over 150 categories. The Special Needs Database is a user-friendly, accessible system of contact information for individuals with disabilities, their families, and professionals throughout Georgia. The inclusion of services or providers on the Special Needs Database should not be considered an endorsement by Parent to Parent of Georgia.
What kinds of categories are included?There are over 150 searchable categories. These include advocacy, early intervention, diagnostic and evaluation, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, child care centers, respite care, Medicaid, education, counseling, support groups, camps, vocational services and many others. What's the best way to do a search?There are numerous ways to search for providers on our database. Give it a try for yourself and if you have any troubles, just call us at 800-229-2038 and we will conduct searches for you! How many resources can I see at a time?The database search will display up to 100 providers at a time. If your search is too broad, yielding more than 100 providers in the results, you must narrow your search criteria. Is there a charge for using the database?No! All Parent to Parent of Georgia services are provided free of charge What if I don't find what I'm looking for?After searching, if you do not find the resources you are seeking, please contact us and one of our coordinators will assist you. What if I notice information that is incorrect?Every attempt is made to update provider information regularly. If you notice information that needs to be changed or if you want to add a provider, please call us and let us know! We'll handle the rest.
